Danny Burgess Cruises to Win in HD 38

In east Pasco’s District 38 race, Republican Danny Burgess, a former mayor of Zephyrhills, also won big, defeating Democrat Beverly Ledbetter, who teaches at Saint Leo University.

“I’m blown away by the support,” Burgess, 28, said. “This wasn’t possible without the community and without everyone who worked so hard to make this happen. This is their victory.”

Now it’s time to “hit the ground running” as he gets ready to serve in Tallahassee, he said.

“It’s going to be an amazing adventure and a learning experience along the way,” Burgess said. “I am ready for the task.”
