SIM Congratulates Danny Alvarez as New Hispanic Political Director - Tampa for Rick Scott

Strategic Image Management ("SIM") congratulates Tampa Attorney, and a dear friend to everyone at our firm, on his appointment by Governor Scott's re-election campaign to the position of Hispanic Political Director for Tampa.

ABOUT DANNY ALVAREZ
Daniel A. Alvarez, Sr. is a first-generation American born and raised in Florida. Known to his friends and clients as Danny, he is the founder and managing member of The Alvarez Legal Group, P.L. His family escaped communist Cuba seeking freedom and opportunity in the United States. He is one of three boys and credits his parents’ perseverance and courage in raising the family in a foreign country as one of his greatest motivators to date.
After high school, Danny attended the University of Florida as a second generation Gator and received his Bachelor’s of science in Journalism. While there, he was the Captain of the UF Club Lacrosse Team and the Cadet R.O.T.C. Battalion Commander. During his tenure in Gainesville, Danny served in the Florida National Guard with the 124th Infantry Regiment in Leesburg, Florida.
Upon graduation, Danny was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. During his time in the military, Danny was deployed to South Korea as a line platoon leader and later assigned to various leadership positions within the US Army Airborne School. While there, he was a jumping member of the historic Fort Benning Command Exhibition Parachute Team, “The Silver Wings.” Before he separated from the service, he earned a Masters of Science degree in Education from Troy State University in Alabama.
After his time in the military, Danny went to work for Johnson and Johnson as a business representative responsible for millions of dollars in sales. Seeking greater purpose and challenge, Danny attended Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. After passing the Florida Bar exam, he attended the nationally recognized, University of Miami School of Law LL.M program in Estate Planning.
Upon graduation, he returned home to Tampa and began working for The Center for Special Needs Trust Administration and Boston Asset Management as Associate General Counsel. Danny traveled the country consulting with law firms and lecturing about Conditional Payment Recovery, CMS Reporting requirements, Medicare Set-Asides and Special Needs Trusts.
Wanting to practice law and help clients on a day-to-day basis, Danny later joined the Sanchez Law Offices in South Tampa. As a partner and the Chief Operating Officer, Danny led the Firm’s Litigation and Estate Planning. In May of 2011, Danny formed The Alvarez Legal Group to help individuals whose voices are often drowned out in the legal system. While the Firm specializes in Personal Injury and Business law/litigation, a strong focus remains on Bankruptcy, Estate Planning and Entertainment Law. In 2012 he helped found the Vindicated Group, LLC as and entertainment management company. Finally, in an effort to help disabled U.S. Veterans, Danny helped form Accounting Resources and Management Services, LLC (ARMS) in 2013.
Danny is an adjunct Business Law Professor at the University of Tampa. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is a graduate of the Hillsborough Bar Association Leadership Institute. In 2012, Danny was re-appointed by the Hillsborough County Commission to a second four-year term on the Hillsborough Children’s Services Advisory Board. He is also the President of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Hispanic Advisory Board. He is a lifetime member of The Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, a perpetual member of several Masonic organizations in the Tampa Area and a member of La Casa Cuba de Tampa. He is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is married to the former Cindy Michelle Munson of Lake County and has three children.
