Melissa Hagan Leads March Fundraising in HD 6

(Panama City, FL) - Melissa Hagan leads the way in fundraising in HD 6 for the month of March.

On top of her almost $12,000 montly haul, Hagan has garnered the support of a host of local leaders including - Mayor Walter Kelley of Lynn Haven, Mayor Gayle Oberst of Panama City Beach and Mayor Richard Musgrave of Parker.

About Melissa Hagan

Melissa Hagan is a lifelong member of the Republican Party. She and her husband, Aaron, have been married for 23 years and have three daughters, Kirksey (20), Kiley (16), and Chloe (10). They are proud to call Bay County home after serving and being a part of the military family at Tyndall AFB since 1998.

Melissa received her undergraduate degree in communications from Mississippi University for Women in 1989. In pursuit of her interest in higher education and administration, Melissa graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1999 with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She is an experienced educator, administrator, business owner, and community leader.

Melissa is also aware of the challenges that our military families face at home and abroad. Her diverse experience makes her the ideal candidate to represent District 6 in Tallahassee. Melissa understands and cares about the concerns of residents, business owners, and military families in District 6.

As a small business owner, she supports small business development and will work with business and civic leaders to create jobs and attract new industry. As an educator, she supports Bay District Schools, STEM initiatives, and career and technical education. Her experience as a community coordinator will serve District 6 well in creating collaborations among business and industry, education, and workforce development to help the community prosper.

Melissa Hagan served as the Chief Development Officer for Gulf Coast State College. She has held various administrative positions as Program Director of Student Support Services and Project Manager for the IT:CORE (Information Technology: Career Opportunities for Rural Economies). She has also served as a classroom teacher, curriculum designer, and case worker for at-risk youth.

Melissa has a heart for the community and is working to make a difference in the lives of Bay County families. She is an active volunteer for Kiley and Chloe’s schools and cheer teams. She is a member of the Bay County Republican Executive Committee, the Panhandle Federated Republican Women’s Club, and the Bay County Republican Roundtable. Melissa also serves on the Boards of Directors for Girls Inc. of Bay County, the Salvation Army, Junior Achievement, and the Panama City Rotary Club.

As a wife, mother, resident, and business owner in Bay County, Melissa Hagan understands the diverse needs of our community and has the experience necessary to be a strong voice for District 6 in Tallahassee.
